A continuously variable transmission (CVT) comes with this powertrain. The PHEV has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that uses an electric motor and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine to produce 210 horsepower. The plug-in gets about 37 miles of all-electric range.

Interior and Exterior

All models of the Ford Escape seat five people and have the same spacious cabin and cargo area. The Escape's interior varies in seating material depending on the trim level that you buy.
